I would love to see how England fares - can they put together a similar gritty set of displays as they did in the RWC. What about Ireland - are they going to disappoint again?

Ah, my two favourite teams! =) (Needless to say, RWC was a disappointment for me. The finals especially sucked. haha)

Well, I still have hope for the aging England team. They proved themselves at the RWC and got their act together to make it all the way to the finals, so there's still some fight left in them. Even though the final was a disappointment, I'm still rooting for them.

Now, for Ireland. The team's been a having a lot of problems in the past, so I just hope with a little more training and perseverance, they can overcome that. RWC was a disaster for them, and they choked. Ireland's a good team with a lot of heart. The only thing is that Paul O'Connell, because of injuries, is going to miss the opening game and the game against France on Feb. 9. We'll see how Ireland deals without The Tank. I just hope that neither BOD nor D'Arcy become injured. As a team, I don't think they've gotten over that last minute loss to France at RWC, so I hope they use that aggression and energy to win Six Nations...and give les Francais a little payback, perhaps? haha (I can't help but love Chabal, though! He eats babies for breakfast.)

I saw signs of what England wanted to do between England - Wales & England - Ireland but the chronic penalty count and sin binnings were letting them down..

The bottom line remains that if England's penalty count was below 15 for both games, they could have edged both Wales & Ireland. The demolition of France showed that if you take your chances and keep your hands off the ball when off you feet then you'll win. Simple as.

Hopefully now England can take out Scotland, send two or three players to South Africa with the Lions and get over their phobia or Argentina now.
